PARENTING PLANS
(aka “Child Custody Orders”)
Do you wish to re-negotiate your current temporary or permanent Child Custody Orders. Such orders are commonly referred to as Parenting Plans. They clearly outline each parent”s legal and custodial rights relative to both week to week and year round visitation with their children.
Parenting Plans are preferred and practicable when the parents are amicable and anticipate being flexible and reasonable when negotiating the terms of when each has their children.
Parenting Plans are not for parties in high conflict, or those who have low expectations of reaching agreement with the other parent. Such situations require the Post Judgment Support Modification described above.
When preparing Parenting Plans, Flat Fee Family Law anticipates a mutual desire of both parties to keep their case out of court and to be open minded to recommendations designed to foster a plan that puts the interests of the children first, while concurrently addressing the needs of each parent.
